Group musings

I am admittedly a little dam-ed out after my persuasive paper and am looking to get on a project that is on a different topic. Some possible ideas I'm entertaining are..

Green construction

I have an issue of New York magazine that highlights some people doing country living or green living in the city and the images were so cool. Very progressive indeed. Yards on rooftops ect. I thought it would be neat to explore some of these structures and what the most effective green building techniques are compared to what the most popular are? Is solar popular because people like it as a status symbol on their house? Do they like wearing green on their sleeves so to speak better than actually helping the environment.....

Also I thought about looking at the rise of education and study paths related to environmentalism. I feel like recently environmental geography and other earth related areas of study are on the rise. I would explore what schools are offering the most innovative and competitive programs in the way of green living aspects and what this increase in education will do for the environment.

  1. Sounds like you have a good grasp on what you want to do for the group project. I think I'm going to stick with the awesome polar bears (or any other animals). Good luck with your ideas! =)

  2. I would be interested in working on the green construction topic. That is what I was looking at doing. I just feel like finding some humor on the subject might be difficult. If you are still interested in doing that topic then I would be willing to work with you.
